Who has to publish what?

What must be published depends on company size, measured by total assets, revenue and headcount: a company belongs to a size class when it stays below two of the three limits on two consecutive balance-sheet dates. Current limits:

Micro-companies up to €450,000 total assets · €900,000 revenue · 10 employees
Only deposit a balance sheet, which is not publicly viewable. No figures appear here.
Small companies up to €7.5 million total assets · €15 million revenue · 50 employees
Publish an abridged balance sheet without a profit and loss statement. Revenue and net income are then missing.
Medium-sized companies up to €25 million total assets · €50 million revenue · 250 employees
Publish the balance sheet and an abridged profit and loss statement.
Large companies (above that)
Publish the full annual statement including the management report.

Sole traders and partnerships with a natural person as fully liable partner (such as GbR, OHG or a classic KG) are not required to disclose at all. Figures then only exist if they were published voluntarily.

Other typical reasons:

The company has fallen below the size limits and has only deposited its statements since, instead of publishing them.
The company was dissolved, merged, liquidated or is insolvent. After that, statements are usually no longer published.
The filing was missed or is late. The Federal Office of Justice then imposes fines, but publication often still happens years later.

A. Allgemeine Angaben zum Jahresabschluss

1. Der Jahresabschluss der Möbs Computersysteme GmbH vermittelt unter Beachtung der Grundsätze ordnungsmäßiger Buchführung ein den tatsächlichen Verhältnissen entsprechendes Bild der Vermögens-, Finanz- und Ertragslage. Es sind keine Umstände erkennbar, die dazu führen, dass der Jahresabschluss ein den tatsächlichen Verhältnissen entsprechendes Bild nicht vermittelt (§ 264 Abs. 2 HGB).

2. Die Form der Darstellung, insbesondere die Gliederung des Jahresabschlusses, entspricht den gesetzlichen Regelungen. Die Gliederung der Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung wurde nach dem Gesamtkostenverfahren (§ 275 Abs. 2 HGB) gewählt.

B. Bilanzierungs- und Bewertungsmethoden

1. Anlagevermögen - Sachanlagen -

Die Posten des Anlagevermögens wurden zu historischen Anschaffungs- bzw. Herstellungskosten, vermindert um planmäßige Abschreibungen, bilanziert. Die Wertfindung konnte aufgrund der Anlagenbuchhaltung zweifelsfrei nachgewiesen werden. Für Wirtschaftsgüter sind die Abschreibungen linear erfolgt. Für geringwertige Anlagegüter ist die Bewertungsfreiheit nach § 6 Abs. 2 EStG in Anspruch genommen.

2. Vorräte

a) Unfertige Leistungen

Für die unfertigen Leistungen wurden die Herstellungskosten unter Berücksichtigung des jeweiligen Fertigungsgrades ermittelt.

b) Waren

Soweit die Vorräte mit Anschaffungskosten angesetzt wurden, ist davon ausgegangen worden, dass bei gleichartigenGegenständen die zuletzt bezogenen auch zuerst veräußert oder verarbeitet wurden (lifo).

3. Übriges Umlaufvermögen

Das übrige Umlaufvermögen wurde mit den Nennwerten bilanziert.

4. Verbindlichkeiten

Die Verbindlichkeiten sind mit dem Erfüllungsbetrag angesetzt.
